Things have been rough for the past couple of months in many different aspects. My relationship hit one turn after another as a couple of my friends know already, and I've been really burnt out from work. Tonight though I caught up with an old friend just over a chat and we were both really torn up over our guys. We'd both been with the person we loved for a year and a half or so but were essentially opposites. While I just wanted to spend as much time with my boyfriend as possible and let him know how much I seriously care, she wanted to get away from hers entirely. It's so hard to look at how any sort of relationship can change over such a short time frame and I came to the conclusion that no matter how rough things get I still love him and want to keep working on our issues. Love is so hard to come by nowadays and I feel so blessed and lucky to have found him, so even if it's hard I want to make things work. A good relationship is never easy, but it's certainly worth the effort.

Not the typical start to a DA journal but I just wanted to share my eye-opener. On another note I leave for Seattle University in 35 days! I got my room assignment yesterday and it turns out I'm on the very top residential floor (floor 11 out of 12) with a view facing the city as well as west which means AMAZING view and no sunrise to deal with! Haven't been able to contact my roommate yet but I've been packing in my free time. It's hard sorting through all my stuff but kind of fun because I occasionally find things I'd forgotten about! Like today I found a hockey puck I'd stolen from an ice rink during my best friend's welcome home party Just something random filled with memories is enough to brighten my day a bit.
